Charity “1 in 3 Cancer Support” donate their £14,000 fund to Hope House on closing down their charity
Hope House are delighted to be the chosen charity to receive £14,000 from 1 in 3 Cancer Support.
The 1 in 3 Cancer Support Group Charity was established in 2008 to provide free support for people in the East Antrim community area living with a cancer diagnosis and has provided help to hundreds in the community. Most recently they developed a new therapy garden in Carrickfergus to offer an opportunity for rest and reflection for those living with cancer – an objective comparable to ours which we desire to obtain through our complimentary accommodation.
The charity sadly announced they were closing at the end of February and that they would be giving their funds to a similar charity. We were overwhelmed to be this chosen charity and to receive a fantastic amount of £14,000!
We would like to thank the team at 1 in 3 Cancer Support for choosing us and for bestowing this great honour upon us to carry on their legacy. This sum will support us as we continue to help local people navigate through their journey with cancer.
